John Romero's record time for beating this level is 28 seconds.Yesterday saw the next big MacenWolf releases two projects by Laz Rojas!. A wall tile in a secret is missing, allowing the player to step into the absolute southern margin of the level. This is most likely a remnant from development, a room negated and filled in. It is sized and shaped similarly to the rooms surrounding it, and placed appropriately. In the maze of similarly-sized gray brick rooms in the west-southwest of the level, one may find a region that is filled in with a different gray brick wall than the rest of the level. A wall adorned with an eagle marks the entrance to a Treasure cache. A pile of bones in the prison area marks a pushwall to a cache of health, Treasure, and Ammo. A plain wall in the above Secret opens to a massive steel hallway, ending in Treasure. A plain wall in the above Secret opens to a Chain Gun, and First Aid. An apparent dead-end in the maze of gray brick rooms opens instead to a room of Ammo. A flag-adorned gray brick wall at the end of a long hallway opens to two First Aid kits. A plain gray brick wall in the above opens to a Chain Gun and two First Aid kits. A plain gray brick wall opens to Ammo and Chests. A plain gray brick wall near the above secret opens to a very similar cache of Ammo. An eagle-adorned gray brick wall opens to a cache of Ammo from the first set of hallways. On the east, one finds more gray brick rooms which, with the gold Key found in the prison area above, ends in the Elevator room. This last hallway opens on the west to a series of stone rooms manned by Guards and Patrolled by Dogs, eventually ending in a cache of Treasure (and featuring two Secrets ). two exits to a second, L-shaped hallway with a secret at the end.
